Our Work

A beautiful outdoor space is only as good as the engineering beneath it. Our portfolio highlights the structural precision and high-grade materials we use to navigate the Bay Area's unique hillsides, wind, and moisture. From reinforced concrete piers to custom-framed tiered decking, we take pride in the 'bones' of our builds—ensuring your investment is safe, solid, and built to last for decades.

We’re usually onto the next job site before the client even has the chance to put the cushions out! We take pride in showing our 'Work-in-Progress' because we believe the most important part of your project is what’s underneath.

Modern Architectural Pergola

A masterclass in San Francisco outdoor living. This custom-framed pavilion features a slatted architectural roof paired with high-impact, weather-resistant polycarbonate shielding.

By enclosing three sides and using a transparent roof, we created a space that captures the natural light while blocking the wind—effectively adding a new 'room' to the home without the footprint of a traditional addition.

Modern Hardscape Entry

For this San Francisco residence, we replaced a dated, failing front wall with a series of clean-lined architectural concrete piers and low-profile retaining walls.

This design creates a formal 'threshold' for the home, improving curb appeal while providing structural stability for the front landing. We focused on sharp, geometric edges and a smooth finish to complement the modern aesthetic of the neighborhood. This is a perfect example of how structural concrete can be both a functional necessity and a design statement.

Custom Diagonal Decking

San Francisco backyards are rarely flat, but that shouldn't limit your living space. For this hillside project, we transformed a steep dirt slope into a multi-level outdoor retreat.

By engineering a three-tiered structural frame, we created distinct 'zones' for lounging and dining. We utilized a diagonal decking pattern to add architectural interest and a custom modern horizontal privacy fence to frame the neighborhood views. These 'in-progress' shots show the heavy-duty framing required to ensure a level, rock-solid foundation on shifting SF soil.

Sinken Conversation Pit

For this long, rectangular city lot, the goal was to create a multi-functional entertaining space that feels both expansive and intimate. We engineered a sunken conversation pit as the centerpiece, surrounded by custom-milled floating benches and integrated steps.

The project showcases a mix of textures: smooth architectural concrete, premium wood, and a unique 'staccato' style vertical back fence. By using varied widths and heights for the rear fencing, we created a rhythmic, modern backdrop that doubles as a piece of art. This build perfectly balances hardscape durability with softscape beauty.

Terraced Retaining Wall

For this project, the challenge was a steep front lawn that was shedding soil onto the driveway and sidewalk. We engineered a multi-level retaining border to stabilize the grade. Featuring a structural core for longevity and finished with a custom-milled cap rail, this build adds both curb appeal and essential soil management to the property.
